House System

The House System at Purna Vidya Bhavan Matric Higher Secondary School is designed to instill a spirit of teamwork, leadership and healthy competition among students. Every child becomes a proud member of one of the four houses, where they participate in academic, cultural and sports events that bring out their talents and build lifelong values. Our four houses are uniquely named after the classical elements of nature, symbolizing strength, balance and harmony.

Symbolizes: Energy, Passion, Transformation

House of Agni

Students of Agni House are encouraged to be bold, brilliant and ever-evolving, like the sacred fire that inspires warmth and courage.

Yellow
Symbolizes: Freedom, Speed, Movement
Motto: “Freedom in motion is strength.”

House of Vayu

Vayu House represents agility, grace and the power of movement, inspiring students to move forward with determination and positivity.

Blue
Symbolizes: Wisdom, Truth, Depth, Order
Motto: “Truth and knowledge are eternal.”

House of varuna

Varuna House students are motivated to flow with clarity, wisdom and depth in all their pursuits, reflecting the calm and powerful nature of water.

Green
Symbolizes: Stability, Strength, Nourishment
Motto: “Earth is the mother of resilience.”

House of Prithvi

Prithvi House stands for stability and resilience, encouraging students to remain grounded, strong and nurturing like the Earth itself.

Activities & Competitions

  • Intra-house competitions in academics, arts and sports.

  • Opportunities for students to develop *leadership skills* by becoming House Captains and Vice-Captains.

  • Celebrations and events that promote unity, pride and participation* across all grade levels
